Left: Two smaller rooms on the second floor were joined to create the now-spacious master bedroom. Randy revitalized a $35 junk-shop bed with a fresh coat of white paint and a creative fabric treatment; the textile's pattern inspired the room's theme of stripes and grids. Sections of salvaged ceiling tin and two decorative iron grates hang on the wall behind the bed. Above right; Red and blue accents bring a playful feeling to the bedroom of Randy's nine-year-old son, Reiniel Jesus. A Butterflies at the Crossroads quilt tops the iron bed; a Star variation is folded on the bench. Randy fashions lamps from salvaged porch posts (left) and sells them in his shop. Below right: A first.fioor bedroom was turned into a sitting room and bath. Randy found the star in a Paris flea market; the medicine cabinet dates to the 1930s. BED LINENS: NANCY KOLTES.
